Understanding Consensual Nonmonogamy

Empowerment Definition: the process of taking seemingly unattainable options and making them reasonable choices

Added context from Hanna & Lizzie:

When a choice that was not previously reasonable or attainable for someone becomes so, we say that person has been empowered to make that choice. One of the most common and often largest barriers to a choice being reasonable is simply awareness. One cannot make a choice that they do not know exists. Thus, education and normalization serve as powerful tools for making choices that were previously unknown, potentially reasonable. They can also lower the amount of energy needed to make a particular choice.
